Penang Hill was the first colonial hill station developed in Peninsular Malaysia. Comprising Western Hill, Bukit Laksamana, Tiger Hill, Flagstaff Hill and Government Hill, it is located six km away from Georgetown. The hilly and forested area is the state's primary hill resort.
Set 821m abovePenang’scapital, it is thelastpatch of tropicalrainforest in Penang so thefloraandfaunaherehavebeenprotectedsince 1960.
The most popular way to the top of the hill is the Penang Hill Railway. Located at the foot of the hill, this Swiss-designed funicular starts out from Air Itam. Built in 1923, it is one of the world’s oldest funicular systems. The ride takes 4 and half minute to reach the upper station. Attractions we visited in Penang Hill:

7. Penang Hill The Habitat: it provides the most authentic, diverse and educational Malaysian rainforest experience. This place reconnects you with nature in its purest form as you immerse yourself in our 130-million year old rainforest. The entrance fee is RM55/Adult
8. The Habitat: Langur Way Canopy Walk; Langur Way was named after spotting a family of Dusky Leaf Langurs sitting on the cables, munching on forest canopy leaves whilst the bridge was being built. the canopy walk has a full length of 230 meters and some 40 meters above the forest floor

13. Penang Hill Cliff Cafe After spending the whole day in Penang Hill, we came back to Batu Ferringhi to enjoy the waves from the beach over the sunset. We then went to eat at Batu Ferringhi's only Food Court near the Night Market. We ended the night on a Trishaw ride going around the city.
