A Day In Penang Malaysia : Durian Farm Visit : Travel Vlog 60

I came to visit Penang for the weekend and it's Sunday, Apr 27, 2019. It's my last day here and Joelynn and YK (my friends who live here) are taking me out to Balik Pulau to visit Joelynn's uncle's durian farm.

The day starts with a quick stop at the scenic Hilltop to get an aerial view of Balik Pulau. The view's amazing. Next, we had a street food lunch at Kim Seng Kopitiam. I got to taste two types of laksa, siam and asam. Both taste very different, and there's one I prefer over the other. We also had char kuey teow, fried rice, and kuih kodok (a fried banana fritter). Later, we arrive at a vista point, drone time. Then we visit a nutmeg farm store to taste nutmeg fruit juice and the owner/farmer tells us about the medicinal use for nutmeg.

And finally, we arrive at Joelynn's uncle's durian farm. Joelynn show me the farm and all the fruits grown there. There were durians in various stages of growth. It's a really fun experience for me since I enjoy eating durian.

This was a really fun day and soon I find myself on the bus and off to my next Malaysian destination.

Thanks so much to Joelynn and YK for showing me Penang the weekend. And also, thank you to uncle for allowing me to have this great experience.

Come get lost with me.
