Pergau Lake is a man-made lake in Kelantan. It is also known as Pergau Sanctuary Park. Located around 100km from Jeli town, this 460 hectares of lake promises an unforgettable experience and memorable visit.
Pergau Lake is a haven for fishing enthusiasts. It is a haven for angling enthusiasts as there are freshwater fish such as tinfoil barb, tilapia, lampam (carp) and toman (snakehead) in the lake. Renting a boat to explore around the lake is a good idea as well as find the perfect spot to fish.
The lake also offers an abundant collection of flora and fauna, in addition to the natural beauty and tranquil environment. Pergau Lake is surrounded by lush and dense tropical rainforest said to be older that the Amazon jungle. At night, the temperature could drop to 180C, similar to that in the Cameron Highlands.
Chalets are provided by the South Kelantan Development Authority (KESEDAR) for visitors who plan to spend the night at Pergau Lake. Other facilities are also available for holding trainings and seminars.
