It is an unspoilt and tranquil beach with a breathtaking view of the South China Sea.  At times, big waves pound on the shore and the wind blows onshore from the sea to the beach while at other times, small waves lap on the shore give a calming effect coupled by gentle ocean breeze that gives a feeling of solitude.

Travellers using the old road to Kuantan from Kuala Terengganu will come across Kemasik Beach, which is about ten kilometres from Kijal town. The view at the beach is simply awesome, with a lagoon that overflows during high tide.

Avid photographers should not miss out on the opportunity for a photoshoot at the Kemasik Beach because of its unique rocks formation. The beach is accessible and equipped with ample parking facility and public amenities. It is also a favourite location for locals who go there in the evenings or weekends for picnics, a stroll or just to enjoy the sea breeze.
