It adopts the digital building information modelling (BIM) technology that enhances and promotes ecological harmony. This project integrates premium residences, commerce, MICE (Meeting, Incentives, Conference, Exhibition), entertainment, transportation, and international education development.
An inter-country joint-venture project - between China and Malaysia, this development will create more than 220,000 jobs for Johorians and Malaysians by the year 2035. Forest City was declared a Duty Free Zone by Malaysia's sixth Prime Minister at the opening ceremony. The Country Garden Forest City is envisaged to be the largest Green City in Southeast Asia.
Comprising a 3D multi-layer transportation systems and vertical greening, the new global city will be a smart and intelligent city, spanning an area of 13.86 square kilometers on four man-made islands. The entire city will be covered by vertical greeneries, sky gardens and a rooftop gardening system.
Forest City is an island residence of more than ten square kilometers. It is a city specially planned with ample greenery and without vehicles traversing on its surface. All the vehicles will be docked underground where sufficient parking space is provided. There will also be well connected routes to the surrounding areas.
