About Dagmar Decker:

Dagmar holds a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management together with her Psychology degree and many years of experience she gained State and Federal Board Certifications in Addictions and Employee Assistance Programs (EAP), in which she provided therapy/coaching to employees in the workplace whose personal issues affected their ability to perform their jobs.

Dagmar specializes in EAP, Addictions and Co-dependent relationships, complex mental health issues providing therapy for dual diagnosed clients suffering from complex integrated issues around maintaining employment, relationships, trauma, recognizing signs and symptoms of relapse or

decompensating behaviors.

Dagmar was also a highly regarded expert witness in the family court system in Florida. She conducting in-depth family assessments, worked closely with detectives on investigations, attorneys, D.A.’s and Judges, under oath sharing the findings of her investigations and making recommendations to the courts.

Dagmar had oversight of the HR Department as Vice President of Human Resources and provided coaching and training to managing directors of healthcare organizations on many topics including mental health, addictions; specifically nurses, physicians and anesthesiologists whose licenses were at risk due to addictions.

Dagmar has had several news articles published on HR and mental health in the workplace. Her Master’s Thesis was on “Expatriates: Reducing the Failure Rate of Overseas Assignments.” A 100 page research paper.

Dagmar has chosen to return to the field of psychology as a therapist/coach after a hiatus to work in HR. Her board certifications have expired in excellent standing.

As it relates to human resource management, she provided employers with a broad range of services through her outsourcing consulting business, and has extensive experience across industries such as healthcare, manufacturing, and in non-profit environments.

With her background and experience in human resource management and as a psychotherapist she has brought together two very complementary disciplines that continue to benefit organizations and individuals.

Dagmar Has studied and implemented various therapeutic methods beyond what she learned in her psychotherapy training such as NLP, brief therapy, cognitive behavior therapy, and has spent over 20 years working as a therapist with clients.
