TAIPING 24-HOUR

TAIPING 24-HOUR – formerly known as the Taiping Endurance Challenge – is proudly presented by MMTF Consultant. This rebranded endurance event will be held from 16th to 17th May 2026 at Dataran Kedamaian, nestled within the scenic Taman Tasik Taiping, Perak, West Malaysia. Participants will test their physical and mental limits by choosing between the 3-hours, 6-hours, 12-hours, or 24-hours challenges on a looped course that winds through the iconic Taiping Lake Gardens.

Why Taiping? Why Taman Tasik Taiping?

Taiping was ranked third in the world’s “Most Liveable Cities” at the Sustainable Top 100 Destination Awards in Berlin, behind Ljubljana and Vancouver. At the heart of this charming town lies the Taiping Lake Gardens, the first public garden established during British rule in Malaysia. Originally a mining ground, the garden was transformed in 1880 under the vision of Colonel Robert Sandilands Frowd Walker and brought to life by Charles Compton Reade.

Today, the 64-hectare landscape is celebrated for its ten scenic lakes and ponds, grand rain trees, and peaceful charm. As you run, you’ll cross five beautifully designed bridges and circle seven serene lakes and ponds, all under the shade of centuries-old trees forming a natural green canopy. Beyond its visual appeal, the Lake Gardens are also home to fascinating wildlife, including the adorable dusky leaf monkeys with their distinctive white-spectacled faces. Runners may also hear the calls of animals from the nearby Taiping Zoo, adding a unique atmosphere to the race. But this isn’t just an event for runners - your family and friends will have plenty to enjoy as well.

Supporters can explore the gardens by foot or bike, visit the Taiping Zoo or the Stone Garden, enjoy paddle boat rides on the West Lake, or simply take in the natural beauty of the area.
