Chen Taiji Academy promotes Chen-style Taiji from Chen Jia Gou, Henan province in China
(the origine place of Taiji Quan), allowing students to truly understand and experience the health benefits of TaiJi Quan.

We will be starting Chen Taiji Laojia(old form) First Route class at Chen Moh Primary School in PJ Old Town this August 2024.

 

Taiji Quan is a traditional physical practice characterized by relaxed, circular movements that works in concert with breath regulation and the cultivation of a righteous and neutral mind. Originating during the mid-seventeenth century in Wenxian County in the Henan Province of central China, the element is now practised throughout the country by people of all ages and by different ethnic groups

Chen-style Tai Chi Lao Jia Yi Lu: A Foundation of Strength and Grace

Chen-style Tai Chi Lao Jia (Old Frame) is the earliest known form of Chen-style Tai Chi, with Yi Lu (First Routine) being the initial form learned in the system. It serves as the foundation for other major Tai Chi styles, including Yang and Wu, which evolved from this form.

Key Features:

  1. Silk Reeling (纏絲): Slow, continuous movements that emphasize a spiraling energy flow.
  2. Fa Jing (發勁): The explosive release of internal energy, adding a dynamic element to the practice.

Benefits:

  • Ideal for both beginners and seasoned practitioners.
  • Promotes concentration,relaxation and body conditioning.
  • Introduces essential motion techniques applicable to other Taijiquan styles and martial arts.

[陈式太极拳老架] 是陈式太极拳中最早的拳架,其中的一路是系统中首先学习的套路。它是其他主要太极拳风格(包括杨式和吴式)的基础,这些风格都从这种拳架中演变而来。

主要特点:

  1. 缠丝(纏絲): 强调螺旋能量流的慢速连续动作。
  2. 发劲(發勁): 内劲爆发,增加了练习的动态元素。

益处:
