[07] TRAINER PROFILE
KUNJU KRISNAN NAIR
HRD Corp Accredited Trainer, Ex-Session Court Judge
Kunju Krisnan Nair is a highly experienced professional with a diverse background in the legal and judicial sectors. He holds an LLB Honours degree from the University of London, a Certificate in Legal Practice (CLP) from the University of Malaya, and was called to the Malaysian Bar in 2005. Additionally, he obtained a BSc and Diploma in Education from the University of Malaya.
He served as a senior prosecuting officer with the Customs Department for 10 years. Later, he joined the Judicial and Legal Service in 1990 as a Magistrate after obtaining his Bachelor of Laws (Hons) degree and was admitted to the Malaysian Bar in 2005. He served as a Deputy Registrar in the High Court (1996–2003) and was subsequently appointed as a Sessions Court Judge in 2004.
Mr. Nair was appointed as a Mediator of the Financial Mediation Bureau in February 2011, handling banking disputes related to Electronic Payments, Card-based issues, and unauthorised ATM Withdrawals. He was later appointed a Mediator of the Ombudsman for Financial Services under Bank Negara Malaysia.
With over 30 years of experience in senior management roles, he has conducted training on topics such as unfair dismissal, domestic inquiry, Employment Law Amendments Act 2022, safety and health, AMLA, ESG, Section 17A MACC Act, Strata Title Act, protocol and etiquette, Customs offences, LMW issues, Whistleblower Act, statutory contributions, IR practices, Human Rights, and workplace sexual harassment. He currently lectures in Business and Company Law part-time.
