[01] INTRODUCTION
Workplace safety is no longer confined to manual inspections or ground-level checks. In May 2025, the Minister of Human Resources revealed that the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (JKKP/ DOSH) has begun using drones to monitor construction sites, detect violations such as workers operating at heights without proper harnesses, and enforce compliance in real time. In 2023 alone, over 800 drone flights were conducted for site monitoring, resulting in 119 enforcement notices based on aerial observations. These figures reflect the growing importance of drone technology in enhancing safety oversight and proactive risk management across industries such as construction, manufacturing, logistics, and utilities and more.
This 2-day program is designed to help safety officers, compliance teams, and managers adopt drone technology as a practical tool for workplace safety. Through a combination of theory, hands-on flight practice, and inspection simulation, participants will learn how to operate drones safely, detect hazards from the air, and produce visual evidence for safety audits—all in compliance with Malaysian OSH and CAAM regulations.
[02] METHODOLOGY
• Interactive lectures with case studies
• Live simulations and guided drone operation workshops
• Group discussions and problem-solving tasks
• Post-course assessment and action planning
[03] OBJECTIVES
