What is Limoncito Tween Unplugged?

In a world where screens dominate our free time, children often miss out on practicing the social skills that help them thrive in the real world — things like teamwork, etiquette, being present, and engaging face-to-face.

Tween Unplugged is our creative social hangout for kids aged 11–13, designed to help them unplug, slow down, and reconnect.

Each 2-hour session offers a hands-on, themed art project. Whether working independently or on shared creations. Every week will embark on different art projects, such as drawing, crafts, and painting. The environment is relaxed giving tweens the freedom to create and connect.

At Limoncito, we believe building social-emotional skills like empathy, listening, and creative problem-solving is just as important as mastering any technique. Here, art is the tool and connection is the goal.

Class Details

• Age: 11 — 13 years old

• Location: Taman Tunku Art Studio

• Days: Saturday and Sunday

• Time: 3:30 pm — 5:30 pm

• Trial: Saturday, 3:30 pm — 5:30 pm only

• Core Goals:

  • Provide tweens with a safe screen-free space.

  • Strengthen social confidence and peer interaction through creative art projects.

  • Teach flexible art skills like painting, collage, DIY crafts, and sculpture while allowing for open-ended expression.

  • Encourage creative risk-taking and value the process over perfection.

  • Keep instruction minimal to empower independent thinking and authentic collaboration.

  Key Program Pillars

  • Creative Exploration: Projects may be collaborative or individual depending on the week, giving tweens the freedom to work together or follow their own path.

  • Guided Independence: Instructors act as mentors and cheerleaders, offering light guidance while encouraging self-direction and experimentation.

  • Studio Vibes: Upbeat music, inspiring themes, and relaxed energy make every session feel like a weekend hangout with creative friends.

  • Social Connection: Group-based tasks, casual prompts, and natural opportunities to share, support, and celebrate one another.

  • Self-Expression First: There’s no “right” outcome here—just space to explore, express, and enjoy the creative journey.

  Trial Class Process

  A trial session for Tween Unplugged is available at RM125 by appointment only, and held exclusively on Saturdays and Sundays.

  • Steps:

  • Parents contact us to request a trial session.

  • Send them the Trial Class Google Form.

  • Once the form is completed, confirm their slot based on availability.

  Trial students will join a regular session on the scheduled trial day and participate in that week’s planned activities.

  Registration & Package Purchase

  • After the trial, parents must purchase a minimum of 4 sessions or choose from the available packages.

  • A non-refundable deposit equivalent to 2 sessions is required and will cover the final 2 sessions upon termination.

  • Package purchases include a Complimentary Art Starter Kit.

  • Students enrolled in a package must choose a fixed weekly time slot from the timetable and are expected to follow that schedule consistently. Each student attends once a week. Parents must inform us at least one day in advance if their child will be absent. Make-up sessions can be arranged within the same week, subject to availability.
