Kokol Ultra returns on 23–25 October 2026, inviting runners back to the lush highlands of Kota Kinabalu, Sabah for another year of raw mountain running. Hosted at Padang Manggatal, the race sends participants straight into an immersive blend of rainforest trails, cold river crossings, misty ridge lines and steep climbs that define the soul of Kokol.

The 2026 edition continues the tradition of a multi-terrain experience, combining sections of road, jungle single track, gravel paths and technical forest descents. Runners will face cool dawn air, humid mid-day climbs and long stretches that demand pacing discipline, hydration management and mental focus.

Designed for all levels, Kokol Ultra offers five distances ranging from accessible trail loops to full ultra-endurance battles. Each category delivers a unique challenge with carefully measured elevation profiles to ensure a balanced, rewarding course.
