Kampung Bantal, a traditional Malay village, is located along the Ulu Tembeling River in the Jerantut District of Pahang, Malaysia. This remote village is known for its rich history, cultural heritage, and connection to Malaysia's indigenous Orang Asli people.



Historically, Kampung Bantal served as a vital trading and transit point for people journeying along the Tembeling River, the primary access route into the deep interiors of Taman Negara (the Malaysian National Park). The village's name, "Bantal," meaning "pillow" in Malay, is thought to have been inspired by a massive boulder in the river resembling a pillow, which became a landmark for travelers navigating the river.
