Forests are disappearing, taking with them vital resources for humans and wildlife. This month, kids will focus on learning about trees and their role in combating climate change. Activities will include leaf identification, where they’ll match different leaves to tree species, and creating a forest map to understand tree diversity. They’ll also explore how trees act as natural air and water filters, connecting the dots between forests and a healthy planet. By gaining this knowledge, kids will be better equipped to advocate for forests and take steps to protect them.

The objectives of this program are as follows:

1. Encourage children to engage, explore, experiment, analyze, and experience the process.

2. Encourage children the ability to build and develop their critical thinking skills, where they would need to learn to make decisions and problem solve.

3. Encourage children to appreciate and show respect for the environment.
