The founder of Penang Balik Pulau Art Society, Koh Teng Huat (aka Ah Ku) is a prominent artist in Malaysia. Koh built his career by travelling throughout Malaysia, creating picturesque landscape artworks using a palette knife. The inspirations for his paintings come from his passion and love for being outdoors and he is well-known for featuring the natural beauty of his hometown - Balik Pulau. He has participated in numerous art exhibitions in countries such as Singapore, Taiwan, Macau and China to name a few. He has also received the Outstanding Achievement from Worldwide Excellence Award in 2019 and Asian Outstanding Artist Award from Hong Kong Economy Net in 2018.
