This recital brings together masterpieces from different eras and worlds—Schubert’s intimate lyricism, Chopin’s dramatic depth, Rachmaninoff’s passionate virtuosity, alongside the evocative soundscapes of Studio Ghibli and beloved anime classics. Though diverse in style, each piece is united by a single essence: the voice of the heart. 

Through her expressive touch and narrative-driven interpretation, Carrissa weaves these works into a seamless journey across time, memory, and imagination. Expect an experience where classical elegance meets contemporary storytelling, revealing how music—no matter its origin—speaks to the universal human soul.

Pianist’s Biography 

🎹 Carrissa Chan – Artist Biography 

Carrissa Chan is a full scholarship graduate of King’s College London, her performance studies were delivered in partnership with the Royal Academy of Music, London, where she completed her performance examinations with First Class. 

Carrissa has performed internationally, including places across UK and Spain. Her repertoire blends classical depth with modern narrative and cinematic elements, allowing her to craft programs that are both technically refined and emotionally compelling. 

In performance, Carrissa seeks to create immersive experiences where music becomes poetry, bridging eras and emotions, and allowing every listener to connect deeply with the heart of the music. This solo recital exemplifies this vision, presenting a journey through classical and contemporary works that celebrate intimacy, beauty, and emotional resonance.

• No food or drinks are allowed inside the theatre.

• No late admission during performances; latecomers may be seated during breaks between pieces. Please arrive at PJPAC at least 15 minutes before showtime to ensure a smooth entry.

• This show is suitable for audiences aged 3 and above. Children below the age of 3 are not permitted to enter the venue.

• Each ticket admits one person. Lap-seating is not allowed to ensure all audience members have the best viewing experience.

• Please switch your mobile phones and other electronic devices to silent mode to avoid disruptions during the performance.

• Please download your E-Ticket with a clear QR code to your mobile phone or print it out before arriving at the venue to prevent any issues with mobile data or Wi-Fi connectivity.

• Videography and photography are strictly prohibited during the event.

• Tickets are non-refundable, non-exchangeable, and cannot be upgraded or canceled once sold.
