Sabah Vipassana Meditation Society was established and duly registered with Registrar ofSociety Sabah, Malaysia in 1992. Our own meditation centre named Vimuttisukharama wasofficially opened by the late Sayadaw Jnanapurnik in 2008. Our Centre is situated at Lot 962B,Lorong Kenawai 3, Dah Yeh Villa, Likas, Off Jalan Damai, Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia.Sabah Vipassana Meditation Society is a Buddhist non-profit organisation of the Theravadatradition. Our objectives are to bring about the original Buddha’s teachings and meditationmethods to the public who might be interested to know more about the Buddha’s teachings.Since 1991, we have been conducting regular meditation retreats at the Centre or at ourassociated Zen Garden in Kundasang, Ranua. Sharing of Dhamma at the Centre, conductingannual Kathina Robe Offering ceremonies etc. We do however, have our ups and downs, andover a period of more than 10 years, we had been inactive due to some unforeseencircumstances including the Covid pandemic that refrained us from holding any publicgathering of any sort.Starting anew in 2025, we have plans to once again organise regular Dhamma talks, Dhammadiscussions, meditation retreats, inviting Monks for annual Vassa and Kathina Robe Offeringceremony etc.Therefore, we hope that our past members, devotees, and yogis will come back as well aswelcoming new faces to join us to spread, promote and propagate the Buddha’s teachings.This is the most noble and meritorious act a Buddhist can offer!沙巴內觀智慧禪坐中心成立於一九九二年並由馬來西亞沙巴州社團注冊局審批為合法的社團。我們名為寂樂苑的中心於二零零八年由已故的Sayadaw Jnanapurnik 正式開啟。我們的中心是位於沙巴州，神山市，里卡士，大業新村，962B Lorong Kenawai 3。沙巴內觀智慧禪坐中心是一個非營利的原始佛教組織。我們成立的宗旨是將佛陀原始的教誨及禪修法門廣泛地傳播予對原始佛法教義的有趣大眾。自一九九一年以來我們都有在本中心或位於蘭腦，昆達山的禪園多次舉辦密集禪修營，分享佛法，舉辦年度的供僧袈裟儀式等等。當然，我們也有興衰的時期，也大概經歷了十多年的時間，由於無法預測的事情以及近年的新冠疫情，導致中心無法舉辦任何活動。從二零二五年新的開始，我們策劃往後將會舉辦佛教講座會，佛學討論課程，密集禪修營，以及邀請德高望眾的出家眾前來本中心渡過年度的結夏安居，年度的袈裟伴僧節等等。因此，我們希望以往的社團成員、信眾、修行者都能重返以及迎接更多新面孔大家齊力協助推廣弘揚佛陀的原始教義。這是對佛教徒來說是一種最神聖及功德無量的奉獻！
