Easter Monday is the day after Easter Sunday. In the Western Christian liturgical calendar, Easter Monday is the second day of Eastertide, a festival season in the liturgical year of Christianity that focuses on celebrating the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, which begins on Easter Sunday.

Easter Monday is also known as Bright Monday, Renewal Monday, Wet Monday or Dyngus Day. Easter Sunday is observed by many Christian groups but primarily by the Eastern Orthodox and Roman Catholic traditions. Easter Monday marks the beginning of Easter Week for the Roman Catholic church and Bright Week for the Eastern Orthodox church.

None of the Easter Monday observances are explicitly biblical because there is no mention in the Bible about what happened the day after Jesus’ resurrection - Easter Monday. However, some cultures observe Easter Monday as a solemn remembrance of Christ’s death and resurrection. Some cultures observe with Easter egg-rolling competitions.
