Masjid Taman Ilmu is in Taman Ilmu, Tembila in Besut district of Terengganu. The mosque was constructed based on the traditional mosques designs at the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia. Construction began in September 2007 and was completed in April 2014.

Masjid Taman Ilmu was designed by a local architect who wanted to recreate the traditional mosque architecture found in the old mosques in the east coast - Terengganu and Kelantan. Occupying a total area of 12. 4 hectares, Masjid Taman Ilmu is the biggest mosque in Terengganu and is believed to be the fifth largest mosque in Malaysia.
When translated to English, it is known as The Knowledge Park Mosque. This mosque also conducts certification courses on Islam - Sijil Pengajian Islam Terengganu.
